Growing up in a quaint Denver suburb, Terri, the third of four children, found her true playground in the world of sports alongside her older brother. A pivotal moment in first grade, under the mentorship of a supportive teacher, instilled in her a belief in her own capabilities and a drive to reach high expectations.

Terri's upbringing, enriched by the presence of grandparents and great-grandparents, provided a unique learning experience. Summers were filled with swimming and tennis lessons, bike rides, and tennis team adventures, creating a tapestry of cherished memories.

Her parents, marrying young and working diligently to establish a family, instilled invaluable lessons of responsibility, respect, hard work, and mutual support.
